About our Drop-in Days
At our drop-in days, we offer a few options to meet every individual's needs. You can read about each option below.

Drop-in days are an independent, create-at-your-own-pace studio session. Our facilitator is here to help you as needed, but we don’t offer structured lessons. Our facilitator will provide a quick demonstration at the beginning of the drop-in time, so if you're completely new, you won't be going in blindly.

We are currently a hand-building-only studio!
One-time Drop-in
+YOUR VISIT+
Create anything you like using our tools and supplies (or bring your own).
​
1.5 lbs of clay
1.5 hours to create
30 minutes to paint
You will receive 1.5 lbs of clay and will get to paint your work for the last 30 minutes of class time using our coloured slips. ​
+END OF SESSION+
Paint your piece fully, mark it as finished, and place it on our Completed Work Cart
OR choose to have us fire it unpainted.
Create 1/2
+YOUR VISIT+
Create anything you like using our tools and supplies (or bring your own).

2 lbs of clay
2 hours to create
You will receive 2 lbs of clay and will get the entire 2 hours to create.
+END OF SESSION+
Finish creating your pieces and place them on our "in progress" shelves.
Plan to return to paint and finish your work.
You can schedule the paint & finish option as early as one week after your create & return session.
***Please complete all projects within 2 months of your first visit due to limited shelf space. If you need more time, just let us know—we’re flexible.
Paint 2/2
+YOUR VISIT+
You will receive access to our coloured underglazes.
Underglazes are best applied to bone-dry clay.
We will not touch or fire your work in between sessions.
You can book to paint and finish as early as 1 week after you create your work.
+END OF SESSION+
Paint your piece and fully complete it, mark it as finished, and place it on our Completed Work Cart.

We will then process your pieces through our kiln, including glazing with a clear glaze.
This will make your pieces food-safe, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-safe.
**Please note: we do not glaze objects that are smaller than 2 inches in diameter.
​
Our turnaround time is currently 4-5 weeks.
BYOC
+YOUR VISIT+
Simply bring your own clay to work with!
​
The clay must be cone 6.
We will not accept air-dry clay or clay bought from Amazon.
Acceptable brands such as Plainsman, PSH, Tucker's, and Laguna are available at Ceramics Canada.
If you're looking for a closer spot to get clay, our friends at Of Earth Pottery Supply are located in Calgary.

You can also buy a bag (25 lbs) or a box (50 lbs) of clay from us.
You can also keep your clay in storage at our studio for easy transport.
​
If you plan to come to our studio often, the BYOC option is the most cost-effective long-term option.
