Service Description

Clay Club offers an affordable, fun, and inclusive drop-in space for individuals to learn fundamental ceramic hand-building techniques. Clay Club Drop-in happens every: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 1:00 to 3:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sundays 1:00 to 3:00 PM +HOW IT WORKS+ Drop-in days are an independent, create-at-your-own-pace studio session. Our facilitator is here to help you as needed, but we don’t offer structured lessons. If you prefer guided learning, check out our 4-week Beginner Hand-Building Course! +YOUR VISIT+ Create anything you like using our tools and supplies (or bring your own). Once your pieces are made, you can either: Paint the same day (only with single clay class) or Let your pieces dry for about one week, then return to paint them. Dry clay takes underglaze color best when it’s bone dry—wet clay can still be painted, but colors may appear lighter. +WHEN YOU RETURN+ Paint your piece fully, mark it as finished, and place it on our Completed Work Cart OR choose to have us fire it unpainted. ***Please complete all projects within 2 months of your first visit due to limited shelf space. If you need more time, just let us know—we’re flexible. +FIRING SCHEDULE+ To keep costs low, all firing happens once per month. Anything finished in a given month is fired after the last Clay Club session of that month. Example: Finish in November → Fired after the final November Clay Club. Firings and glaze loads can take up to 4 weeks to complete. We will email you when your pieces are ready for pickup, including specific pickup days/times.
