+What to Expect+ This is the second of two sessions. Book this pass to return and paint/finish your work using coloured underglazes. You can buy this pass in advance for 1 week to 2 months after creating your work. The clay needs at least a week to dry before you can apply underglaze to the surface. Why do you need to return a second time? 1. Underglaze works best on bone-dry clay. 2. You get more time to complete and paint your pieces, whereas the one-time session can feel rushed and limited. ***Please complete all projects within 2 months of your first visit due to limited shelf space. If you need more time, just let us know. FIRING YOUR WORK: We will fire and glaze your pieces. Ceramics go through TWO firings, which takes time. -We will dip your pieces in a clear glaze, which makes them food-safe. If you do not want a clear glaze on your work, you can specify this during your session. We cannot guarantee that your pieces will survive our transportation and firing process. Clay is an extremely fragile medium, and we have to transport everything to our kiln for firing. To avoid your pieces breaking during this process: -Avoid making anything extremely thin or precarious, or adding tiny bits that stick out. -Ensure pieces are properly and securely attached. -Our current turnaround time is 4-5 weeks. -We will notify you via email once your pieces are fired and ready for pick-up.
